About Curlew Fabric Design
Established in 2021 to support British Sheep farmers by creating woven fabric using 100% British wool. With over 25 years working as a woven textile designer based in mills across Yorkshire, Lancashire & Scotland, I wanted to link knowledge from industrial production to create product using British wool, the ultimate sustainable fibre.
An exclusive range of 6 designs woven with a bespoke yarn using Swaledale wool, of the characteristic Yorkshire sheep, blended with Cheviot and Jacob wool to create the natural grey shades. Produced completely in the North of the UK, these 100% British Wool limited -edition designs will keep you warm and cosy.
Using wool helps the environment, as this is a natural, renewable fibre. Wool has amazing inherent properties, insulating, anti-bacterial, flame resistant, temperature regulating and self cleaning.
